This is brave Charlie. At age 2, he was diagnosed with brain cancer – Ependymoma grade 3, a rare form of cancer – on June 9th, 2018.
He is now 3 years old and still fighting this monster.
Charlie has endured what a lot of adults will never – 3 major brain surgeries, 9 weeks of chemo, which failed to shrink the tumor and while it should have stopped it, the tumor kept growing.
Charlie received his miracle, where a doctor was able to remove the entire tumor!
He is now having Proton Beam therapy (radiation) in Germany, away from his home in the UK…
Cancer, however, came at a cost and it robbed charlie of some of his capacities, including walking. He recently took 2 steps by himself!
Fight on, Charlie! 💛

Update: Charlie has been improving a lot lately after finishing Proton Beam Radiation! You can watch a video about Charlie here
