Cancer always finds a way to ruin things. Damon’s birthday was destroyed by the news that he had cancer, on May 9th, 2018, on his 16th birthday… Damon was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, bone cancer. Osteosarcoma usually comes with some hard choices – besides chemotherapy, the patient usually either goes through limb salvage surgery or amputation of the cancerous limb.
Damon is a very optimistic boy and chose to have his limb salvaged, instead of amputated!
Damon received harsh chemotherapy treatments but remained optimistic through it all!
He is currently cancer free!
