Courageous Milena is fighting Neuroblastoma! Right after her 3rd birthday on April 20th, 2018, Milena was diagnosed with this horrible monster – Neuroblastoma stage 4 high risk, already metastasized to her bones and bone marrow. The tumor initiated on her left adrenal gland, at 11cm x 11cm. Surgery was attempted, however, it wasn’t possible to remove anything since the tumor was wrapping around important veins and structures 💔
So far she’s completed 10 chemotherapy cycles, 4 immunotherapy cycles + 5 radiation therapy sessions since cancer spread to her brain/skull.
Milena is currently awaiting a clinical trial.

Update: On February 3rd, 2019 a huge mass was found, wrapping around Milena’s Spine. That means the cancer spread and didn’t respond to treatment. She was approved for a trial drug – Loratinib. She is the first person in Canada to ever receive it!
