Meet sweet Zaeli 💛 When Zaeli was just 13 months old (shortly after completing 1 year old) she was diagnosed with very high-risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Despite having 8 months of Chemotherapy, Zaeli struggled to reach remission. She eventually went into remission, however, proven how aggressive this type of leukemia is, a bone marrow transplant was planned for her – receive in February of 2018. However 2 short months after Zaeli relapsed – Leukemia came back. She once again endured the cruel treatment + a trial drug to no avail, since there was no remission in sight. During this time Zaeli developed a bad lung fungal infection that turned to be very persistent and ended up with a full (right) lung removal. Zaeli was relatively fine after surgery – with hopes that she could have a bone marrow transplant again…
However, her health took a turn for the worst and Zaeli to became an Angel on September 7th, 2018, surrounded by love. Fly high baby girl 💛 #teamzaeli
