Preston Bahr

Preston is a tough cookie! 🍪💛
For years Preston complained of excruciating pain on his left hip, such pain left him unable to walk and get out of bed.
Last July (2018) Preston was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, at age 11. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a type of cancer that grows in the bones or soft tissues around them, such as nerves or cartilage.
Childhood cancer was labeled “rare” and doctors accepted the label – Preston visited countless doctors – all brushed him off, it was either growing pains, a hernia, and whatnot. He was sent to physical therapy for 2 months. He was told, “it can’t be cancer”. Preston has endured 14 rounds of chemo, 6 weeks of radiation therapy, 18 port accesses (involves needles) 2 blood transfusions and a seizure. Despite this, you never see Preston without a heartwarming smile!
This tough warrior had his last chemo a couple of days ago.

Yesterday, March 6th, 2019, Preston had follow up scans but unfortunately, he can’t be declared cancer-free officially, at least just yet. The scans show no cancer cells at all, but there is a lump on his left hip/back area. His next scans are on May 28th (Prayers please!), hopefully, the lump will be gone by then! Doctors will keep an eye on it.

You got this, Preston!
