Brave Charlotte is a cancer survivor! Charlotte was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, on May 4th, 2017, at 9 months old. Neuroblastoma was present on her adrenal gland, but it had spread to her eye orbit and bone marrow. In order to beat cancer, Charlotte faced 8 rounds of chemo, every 3 weeks. She also had surgery to remove the tumor the following day after diagnosis and received her very last dose of chemo on October 3rd, 2017, and declared cancer free on November 9th, 2018! What an incredible warrior Charlotte is! 💛
Well Hello there! Welcome to Warriors of Gold. I'm Kim, a 19-year-old fighting for better treatments for childhood cancer and more funding. Not only is childhood cancer research severely underfunded in the United States, but it's also even worse around the world. Right now children get 7% of funding meanwhile adults get 93%. Childhood cancer is not rare, in fact, it's getting very common!
