Aedan Pio is an extraordinary 8-year-old boy! 💛💛 He was diagnosed with Clival Chordoma, a type of cancer that can start both in the Brain and Spine, typically slow growing but still cancerous. The diagnosis was on February 2nd, 2015. He was just 4 years old at the time, however, that didn’t stop him from fighting cancer with all the strength!
Aedan completed 8 cycles of chemotherapy – equaling 32 weeks total; He was also supposed to have radiation therapy, but the needed type (Proton Beam) is too expensive where Aedan Lives, the Philippines, so he never got the right treatment… Aedan also had 2 open brain surgeries – July 2015 and September 2016.
The entire year of 2017 was filled up with chemo. Aedan can’t walk for long periods of time as of now!
He is incredibly brave and loves painting! This fantastic little boy does charity work as well, he is also an ambassador to kids with cancer where he is treated. He also helps other kids battling cancer by sharing art workshops with them!
